    Tendencias 2026 CEOs LATAM

Las seis tendencias estratégicas que dividirán el liderazgo latinoamericano en 2026 entre Arquitectos del futuro y Víctimas de él. Un análisis accionable con datos de McKinsey, EY, KPMG y fuentes regionales.

    Tendencias 2026 CEOs LATAM

For the Latin American leader, obsolescence is no longer measured in years. It is measured in quarters. The AI era has divided leadership into two paths, with no middle ground: you are either an Architect of the future or a Victim of it. And the majority, unfortunately, continues managing with the rearview mirror.

    The Three Battlefields

Six strategic trends for 2026 organize around three battlefields where leadership will be decided. They are not focus areas. They are the new terrains where contracts, talent, and margins of the next decade are already being decided.

Battlefield 1: The Imperative of Trust

In a region with deep institutional distrust, trust becomes the scarcest and most valuable asset. Companies demonstrating responsible and transparent AI use will generate a trust dividend that translates into greater customer loyalty, a stronger employer brand, and better regulator relationships. By 2028, more than 50% of companies will adopt AI Security Platforms. 90% of IT professionals in LATAM believe consumers will prefer companies with clear ethical frameworks.

    Battlefield 2: Contextualized Innovation

The greatest market opportunities in Latin America reside not in optimizing existing markets, but in creating solutions to the region's unique structural challenges: financial exclusion, informality, logistical inefficiencies. By 2028, more than 60% of enterprise generative AI models will be domain-specific. The talent gap of 2.5 million ICT specialists will be solved not by hiring, but by empowering: tiny teams augmented by AI that deliver the output of teams ten times larger.

Battlefield 3: Augmented Leadership and Ecosystems

The role of the Manager-CEO is dead. Long live the Ecosystem Architect. Their work is no longer to manage a company, but to design and orchestrate a network of agents — human and artificial — that generate value. Enterprise interest in Multi-Agent Systems has surged 1,445% in the last year.

In the AI era, not deciding is the worst decision of all. It is choosing, by omission, to be the victim.
